I arrived in Rainbow Beach in 1979, met Fiona here not long afterward, and have lived in the town nearly the whole time since. We now have three teenage children.
I know the Cooloola Coast well. I love it and want to see the very best for its future.
I have successfully started up and operated a number of commercial ventures. This experience allows me to offer broad commercial knowledge and a very useful background in Shire waste management.
My business experience, and my appreciation of the special place we live in, leaves me dismayed at the lack of quality and vision being applied to the Shire’s town planning and general business activity.
I have committed much of the last decade to local town planning issues, natural resource management and community development. This activity has given me technical skills that are vital for local Govt. It also provides me with a very clear practical understanding of what is most important to get done in the Shire, and how it can best be achieved.
The method for Council success is simple:
provide good and timely information,
genuinely include the needs and ideas of all persons affected &
make a disciplined, consistent effort to produce results.
I urge you to make your vote count toward a better Council. Without that we can’t have a better Shire.
